As of today, mercury should be out of most baby vaccines,
but NOT the flu shot. (There's a limited supply of mercury free flu
shots.) There's a lot of misconception about when mercury came out of
childhood vaccinations. The FDA finally requested drug companies
to "phase out" Thimerosal (contains mercury) from children's vaccines in 1999. The
vaccines already made with Thimerosal were NOT destroyed. Vaccines
have a self-life of years before they expire. Thimerosal is used to kill bacteria and the only use of Thimerosal-containing vaccines is so the drug companies can cheaply ship multiple doses in buck.
