People with autism have trouble communicating or interacting with people or making friends.  I can communicate in an e-mail typing better then in person or over the phone.  Hopefully I'll be able to overcome that when I get a job.  Autism is a life-long disorder.  Also autism affects my thinking and reading (I'm a slow reader and sometimes have trouble or am slow comprehending when I read something or when someone says something to me.  I would say I am at least twice or even 3 times slow reader then a normal person, like if a normal person takes 10 minutes to read something, it'll take me a half hour.)  Autism can range from a severe to mild disorder, everybody with autism is different.  I have mild autism or I think I have classic autism which is present at birth even through I was diagnosed years later.  Most of the time autism is present after 15 months or 2 years after the child received their vaccinations.  Click here to read more about that or read on, I also talk about that and link to that page later on down in this page.  I seem to have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).  If your interested click here to read more about my personal symptoms and about when I was diagnosed with autism, etc.  That page includes a picture of me when I was young. 

I read Dr. Leo Kanner first identified autism in 1943 when he described 11 self-absorbed children who had "autistic disturbances of affect contact."  At first, autism was thought to be caused by bad parenting, which has been proved to be false.

Some people with autism may be very good at math or music or drawing.  Movie Rain Man is about an autistic man who did big number calculations in his head in a few seconds, like what is 147,476 * 579,936 = and that I don't know, for me I'll need a calculator to do that.  Also he counted a spilled box of toothpicks (spilled on the floor) in just a few seconds, I remember from the movie there were 246 there and there were 250 in the box, but there were 4 that stayed in the box when the box spilled.  Got to see that movie, it's very funny!  Most parents don't see their autistic child as like him.

I listen to music on the radio or CD but don't perform music, and I'm not a good drawer.  Have you ever thought of autistic people (same as autism) of like Artistics?  (Autistic isn't the same as Artistics.)

Autism happens in the brain, which as I read has over 100 billion nerve cells and I read some of those nerve cells in people with autism are either damaged or didn't fully develop, which those missing cells causes our autism symptoms.  I also read their may be up to 3 to 20 genes involved in autism.  They are either missing or got damaged. The obvious reason for my autism is because the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck when I was born stopping the oxygen running up to my brain and I was blue.  My parents told me this and I saw pictures of when I was just a few seconds old.  But I've heard a lot of kids get born that way and never get diagnosed with autism or anything.  It might depend on how tight the umbilical cord is around the baby's neck and how fast it is taken away.  The umbilical cord around my neck when I was born probably didn't help any as far as my autism.  I probably been diagnosed with autism anyway if the cord wasn't around my neck.  Who knows!

I've been on a dairy (casein) and wheat (gluten) FREE diet for 5 years when I first started not counting the times I cheated!  The times I cheated after several months on that diet, I could really feel it in my brain!  Dairy and wheat is bad for me and also people with autism, ADD/ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, etc.  Click here for a list of disorders that people can possible benefit from that diet.  There are possibly others too like Yeast FREE, etc.  I've read Yeast can cause hyperactive in autistic children.  Dairy and wheat too.  Especially dairy can cause, well caused me to be not as smart as I could of been in school.  After I started the diet I passed a test that was required for me to get a regular diploma instead of a special ed diploma.  So, I'm glad my father read about that diet or I wouldn't be where I'm at today.  I probably would still be autistic, sometimes I think I'm not autistic anymore after I started the diet.  Especially the dairy (and also wheat) made me autistic.  I know that the dairy-wheat affecting my brain is hard to believe.  I read I may have Leaky Gut Syndrome.  How you ever heard of that?  It's hard to explain so please click here (link is from outside of my website- opens in new window or open it in this window)  My mom said she couldn't believe that I actually can compose things like this website that I couldn't compose anything or had a very hard time and my mom had to help me with my homework when I was in middle school and early years of high school before I started the diet (summer of 1998, after my 10th grade year).  I think the dairy and wheat made me into a Learning Disability and put me in Special Ed and Resource classes! Also visit www.milksucks.com - is a good site & www.nomilk.com, but the website above is the best!  Please visit it to find out the truth!  I know it's painful to find out the truth, but isn't it about time.  Oh, and I should say the research is from A LOT of organizations!

I read the cause of the leaky gut, or in other words, the cause for being on a dairy-wheat FREE diet could be mercury that was in vaccinations or antimony and arsenic that's in many baby products, please click here to read a little about that.

Vaccinations can have side affects (just like any medication) which most of the time the doctors don't tell you.  I read a lot of people think the mercury in vaccinations can cause diabetes or autism.  Why do people think that?  Because they start to notice autism symptoms shortly after their child received their vaccinations.  I read some stories their child became diabetic after a vaccination.  Thousands of U.S. and United Kingdom families can show with videotapes and photos that their children were normal prior to being vaccinated, had reacted badly to the vaccines, and become autistic shortly thereafter.

I think vaccinations is a joke.  Do you know how many shots are given to a baby in today's world in first 2 years?  32 shots!  I had 11 and that was 20 years ago.  (5 DTP's, 5 polio's, and 1 MMR)

I read in the summer of 1999 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally noticed that infant children who receive the recommended series of immunizations have received over 125 times more mercury considered safe by the daily maximum EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) toxic dose from routine vaccinations.

I know what your thinking, everybody gets those vaccinations and if the mercury in vaccinations does have an affect in autism, then why doesn't everybody have autism?  Well, maybe everybody does! - just kidding.  I think the kids born in the 90's that don't have autism are lucky.  Click here to read this!  (Open link in a new window)

There is research being done on the vaccines - autism link, but they say it's not certain yet that vaccines have or had (vaccines with mercury) any connection with autism.  But mercury is said to cause neurological problems.  But it's not said to cause autism, which doesn't make no since to me because people with autism do have neurological problems.

I think the Government doesn't want to know the truth that mercury may cause autism in some or most children.  They are afraid for their jobs!  (It all has to do with money.)  Rep. I know that people either touched by autism or not doesn't want to hear that mercury in vaccinations that everybody's gotten for years since the 1970's which is when autism diagnosis increased can cause a disorder.  Vaccinations have actually been around since 1930's with mercury in them (70 years!).  I read autism used to be called the "Rich Man's Disease" cause only the rich people got their child diagnosed with autism and also only the rich had the money to get their child vaccinated!  Is that a coincidence?  Feel free to read on and spread the word on what the government did not tell us about vaccinations!  Please click here to read more.

The last few months, I've been taking digestive enzymes to improve my diet.  Some autistic parents think digestive enzymes can replace the diet, but they're wrong, I read it's hard to find the enzyme to digest casein or gluten from this page (open link in new window) and mercury can cause the enzymes to not work!  So, both the diet and taking enzymes is the best treatment to go.
